You know, sometimes we could consider being a bit more careful of our internal reactions to things.
I got to thinking because the other day some friends and I went out to eat dinner and we stopped by this shop called Insomnia Cookie ( if you try it let me know) for some sweet after-meal-treats. It was my first time there. While there, We met this really animated guy who gave us some “interesting” cookie suggestions. Really, he was just hyping up every cookie, and I thought “This dude a CLOWN and he is probably on something, that’s not a cookie suggestion! We can’t buy the whole store!” Shortly after his rambling, he pays for his cookies and then pays for ours, kindly. He looks at us with a slight grin, then he goes on his way.
I’m usually pretty on guard when I’m out with friends, just out of safety. Years of martial arts and bullies have taught me to be watchful. But thats not the real point. You know, yeah, he could have been on something but maybe he was just a warm soul on a cookie run. I can’t know for sure with that interaction. But he was still kind enough to do something like that for a bunch of people he didn’t even know. He did no harm. So, why assume the worst of people? Why should your initial thought of someone be negative? Just something to think about.
shout out to you cookie guy and thanks for the cookies.
Sorry for my rambling,
