The quote for today is “ you invite others to love themselves when you love them actively.” The idea came from a conversation with my family member. I was reading this book about how neuropsychological systems invoke suffering in people. This was mentioned to figure out how to overcome these systems and live happier and more joyfully. Then I can across a certain quote about the root of love.
At that point, I brought up to my family member the question on my mind, “can someone know love if they don’t love themselves?” After some discussion about love and our loved ones, we reach an interesting impasse. That point was where this thought came to life. We thought even if you can or can’t, that’s not the point. The point is loving yourself and sharing love with others.
