I was reading this book the other day and it was talking about creativity and academia. It mentioned how we, as people, seemingly think they are separate entities and act like getting the right answer is all that matters, saying if you are wrong you fail. But they address this point saying that, academia isn’t really academia without creative problem solving and “ being wrong” sometimes. “To live is to have problems, and to solve them creatively is growth”. That I think is a powerful quote they raise while addressing this issue. I find it strong because they acknowledge a reality of life...It’s riddled with problems! So to be wrong about something isn’t the end. No it isn’t a fail; rather, it’s a opportunity to solve one of life’s endeavors. That notion sparks evolution.
