You know, a long time ago, someone told me that, "whenever you say goodbye, that goodbye reminds you of every other previous goodbye you have ever encountered." This thought is kind of sad if you take it for face value. But I think acknowledging goodbyes as a part of life and realizing that you can't have "good bye" without a "hello" gives me comfort. This is because many wonderful things happen between those two things, between the hellos and goodbyes I mean. Between them exists memories, good, bad, happy, sad, real memories. All of which, have real value. If we focus on those memories, who knows? maybe the good bye wont feel as lonely.
