Recently, I finally got around to finishing Gundam SEED, for the first time. all in all it was interesting. I found it very emotional, as Gundam tends to be at times. It was emotional in the sense that the writers and creators put alot of effort into driving home a few themes. First one was that, People shouldn't discriminate over differences or qualities that make one another stand out. The next was simply, weapons are tools for destruction but can be used to protect. The last i want to mention is the age old anime theme of the cycle of violence or hatred and how violence breeds more violence and chaos. Each one of these themes are a paper in of themselves but i did pull a clever quote from the show that i wanted to share, " The worst thing a person can believe is it doesn't matter and they do nothing. Nothing would ever change; nothing would ever end." For me, this quote is a strong realization for one of the main characters, Kira. As he is thrown into a war and forced to fight, he finds his own reason to defend rather than attack.
Do you agree with Kira? Disagree?
